With three decades of professional experience, Michael Jeresaty of Charleston, SC, is a highly accomplished entrepreneur, business executive, and community leader. Beyond his charitable involvements, Michael Jeresaty is also a sports enthusiast with an impressive athletic background. He was a three-sport athlete during his high school years, competing in football, baseball, and wrestling. Not only did he compete in these three sports, but Michael was also the team captain for both the football and baseball teams. After enjoying an undefeated senior year and nine varsity letters, Michael went on to play football at Bates College, where he completed a B.A. in History. More recently, Michael spent ten years as a volunteer coach for a local recreation center, and he still loves to keep up with sports.
Professionally, Michael Jeresaty has built two thriving businesses and is proud of all he has accomplished. From 1994 until 2006, Michael owned and managed Garnet Health Systems and Insurance Services. The company provided credentialing solutions and grew to encompass a sales network of over 15,000 physicians. Seeing an opportunity for expansion, Michael leveraged the data and relationship they had acquired to launch a Malpractice Insurance Agency that became one of the largest brokers in the region. When an opportunity arose to complete a multi-million dollar sale of the company to Medical Protective Companies, a division of Berkshire Hathaway, Michael took it.
Michael Jeresaty spent a few years working with Medical Protective Companies before moving on to his next healthcare venture, Ralston Health Group, where he still works today. Ralston utilizes a large network and marketing efforts to provide esoteric laboratory tests to various healthcare organizations.
